About Us

i4w2 is the ethical publishing service from ideas4writers. We launched the service in October 2006. Click here for details of the books we have published so far. More books will be available soon.

To learn more about why we felt there was a need for an ethical publishing service please click here.

Our aim is to fill the gap between POD (Print on Demand) publishers who print just a few copies at a time, and full-scale commercial publishers who only take on books that they think will sell 20,000+ copies.

Our minimum print run is 1,000 copies, which allows us to use traditional litho presses to keep the cost of the books as low as possible. Our books typically cost less than half the price of an equivalent POD copy. That means you can sell them at a competitive price and still make a reasonable profit.

Unlike the major publishing houses, we do expect you to pay for our services and printing costs. In return we give you full control over the publication process, high-quality professionally produced books that are every bit as good as those from major publishers, and as much help as you need to sell them, including a detailed marketing plan. (We also expect you to be actively involved in the selling process - those books won't sell themselves.)

We make our money by adding a small mark-up (35p per book) to the printing cost. That means we have an ongoing interest in helping you to sell more books - and keep coming back for more when they sell out!

Our books are available from Waterstones, Amazon.co.uk, direct from our website, or they can be ordered from any UK bookshop. A growing number of local bookshops now stock our books. And we are an approved supplier to Waterstones.

Please note that we can only print, market and distribute books in the UK, although we do post individual copies overseas when readers order them direct from us.

i4w2 is based in the offices of ideas4writers in Devon, although our team is scattered throughout the UK. Our contact details are:
