Sample idea:

How about a story where the love interest, confidante and antagonist roles are combined. So for example, a detective goes home at night and tells his wife everything he has discovered about a case that day, not realising that his wife will use everything he has told her against him the following day. How has she become involved in the case and why is she on the opposing side? How far is she prepared to go? Is she acting alone or as part of a gang or group? Is someone forcing her to do it because they have threatened to harm her children if she doesn't? How does the detective discover who his opponent is? Not because she talks in her sleep, please! How does he react when he finds out? What does he do to solve the case without her getting in the way? Does he start lying or withholding information? Does he do something else? Will their relationship survive?
