Contrasts make a good theme for a poetry collection, and what better contrast than to look at the same view in two different seasons. How about the sea shore in summer and in winter. In summer: warm, swimming, packed with people, ice creams, children, games, happiness, sunburn and so on. In winter: cold, windy, desolate, waves crashing against the rocks, sea gulls, storms. Great inspiration for all writers and poets. What other scenes contrast so differently in different seasons? Will you write separate poems about each season or combine them in one? For the sea shore example we'd recommend separating them, but that's just our choice, it doesn't have to be yours.
