Sample idea:

Before you go somewhere, write a list of the main features and attractions of that place. For each one write a paragraph describing how you think it will be - your preconceived ideas. When you get back, go through your list and compare your preconceived ideas to the actual experience. What are the main differences? Since it is likely that your preconceived ideas are much the same as everyone else's, it is worth paying special attention to the differences and writing them up as an article. In fact to really get the most out of each trip there are probably several articles you could write about each place - this will be just one of them. What other aspects of each place could you write an article about?
